Kingdom Advancing Prayer
Kingdom Advancing Prayer (KAP) is the very heart and foundation of our ministry. Prayer has always been at the very core of the Church’s existence. We at Dominion-Life International value this tremendous spiritual activity.
Prayer has always been the pivotal point for all of God’s movements in the earth. Our Kingdom Advancing Prayer was established as a platform for strong, aggressive, governmental prayer that can assist in the move of God in this region and in other regions of the earth.
Our KAP is conducted in different locations during the week; for more information contact our office at 604.599.3542 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Some Examples of the Power and Significance of Prayer!
Luke: 11: 1 – 2:
“Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, Lord teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. So He said to them, ‘When you pray, say.’ ”
In the preceding two verses, we see that Jesus was a man of prayer. We also arrive at the fact that prayer can be taught and learnt, and that it played a very significant role in the life of Jesus and the early disciples.
Luke: 22: 44 – 46:
“And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. When He rose up from prayer and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow. Then He said to them ‘Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation’.”
Here we see Jesus about to enter into the most crucial part of His purpose here on earth and this drives Him to the point of agonizing PRAYER. He then goes on to show His disciples the relevance for such kind of prayer and that ‘prayer fortifies us against temptations’.
Mark: 1: 35 – 38:
“Now in the morning having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. And Simon and those who were with Him searched for Him. When they found Him, they said to Him, ‘everyone is looking for You’.” But He said to them, ‘Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth’.”
In these verses we see the tremendous example that our Lord gives us, in rising and setting a priority on prayer. He even takes it further and links prayer to the fulfillment of one’s destiny and purpose in verse 38.
“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”
Kingdom activity has always been surrounded by strong, aggressive warfare. Demonic powers will not allow entry into the Kingdom without a fight, we are to take it by force. Every demonic power that seeks to stop us must be defeated.
Daniel: 9: 2 – 3:
“In the first year of his reign I, Daniel understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the Lord through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolation of Jerusalem . Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fastings, sackcloth, and ashes.”
These verses along with the rest of chapters 9 & 10 show us the vital role prayer plays in bringing to pass the prophetic word of the Lord. Notwithstanding, that the Lord had declared that it would happen over 70 years before, it took the prayer of Daniel to release its fulfillment.
Matthew: 21: 12 – 13:
“Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And He said to them, ‘it is written, My house shall be called a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves’.”
Here again we see Jesus establishing the value and importance of prayer. Note the major emphasis; He did not say ‘My house shall be called a house of praise or fellowship’, but a house of PRAYER.
