Apostolic Reformation
The Equipping Dimension of The Apostolic

“If the axe is dull, And one does not sharpen the edge, Then he must use more strength; But wisdom brings success.”  Ecclesiastes 10:10

For centuries the Church of Jesus Christ has been using quite a bit of strength while working with a dull axe (sword, Word of God, revelation), in trying to get the job done.  This has been largely due to the fact that she has been functioning without Blacksmiths (Apostles), the ones who have been graced and anointed by the Lord, with the ability to sharpen.

Michael Scantlebury is a lover of present truth.  His desire is to see Jesus Christ ministering to His Church in His full five-fold ministry of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher.

I can endorse this book with enthusiasm because this has been my passion and commission for many years.  In the 1980's I wrote a trilogy of books on the restoration of prophets and prophetic ministry.  I then wrote the book Apostles, Prophets and the Coming Moves of God.  At the time I realized that many more books would need to be written to fully reveal and express the ministry of Jesus as Prophet and Apostle to His Church.  This is one of those books.

Some are called not only to be apostles but also to propagate the calling, attribute, ministry and anointing of apostles through their writing.  Michael has received this calling and is fulfilling that commission through his trilogy of books on apostles and apostolic ministry.

ENDORSEMENTS

Dr. Scantlebury has written a fine work on apostolic ministry. The metaphors are striking and the research solid. He has managed to demystify both the person and the calling, revealing instead the critical and practical nature of the apostolic. The maturity with which he broaches the subject adds much needed integrity to this largely underdeveloped topic. The trilogy Dr. Scantlebury has written will provide a foundational contribution to the apostolic reformation that God is bringing to His church today.

In every move of the Holy Spirit, God seems to raise up men and women who clearly articulate what the Spirit is doing.  Michael is one of these men, raised up by the Lord for this time who has the tongue of a ready writer.  May these books be used as textbooks in the training of this new breed of church leaders.

Keith Abrahams, Senior Leader:  Harvest Church, Sardis, B.C., Canada

This book, "Apostolic Reformation" is a timely word in the present global reformation of the Church.  For saints in pursuit of where this apostolic mandate is headed, this book is destined to help reshape mentalities into the purpose and importance of the apostolic ministry, I believe a vital key conveyed in this book is that it helps to not only quicken the saints for a passion to what God is doing through His said ministries, but it also gives strong foundation that shall become a legacy for many generations.

Tim and Theresa Early, Apostle and Prophet, F.A.P. International (Ephesians 2:20), Houston, TX, USA

It is undeniable that the greatest move of God since Martin Luther's reformation in the 1500's, is taking place in the global church.  For the first time since the days of 1st century apostles, the church is recognizing, understanding and receiving the equipping dimensions of blacksmiths.  No longer is the church operating or hiding in an escapist mentality.  The global church is emerging into a majestic fortress, refining gold with sharpened battle axes and advancing the purposes of the Lord in all quarters.  Dr Michael Scantlebury, in this volume, presents the global church with the ministry and benefits of the Blacksmith/Apostle and the emergence of governmental churches in strategic action and accurate in this present season.  It is a "must read" for all kingdom people.

God's Church cannot fully function and manifest His glory without drawing from the great grace given through His Apostles. I advise every precious saint of God to not only read, but to study the book “Apostolic Reformation”, a seasonal book written by one of God's endtime Blacksmiths, Dr. Michael Scantlebury. I assure you that you will move in greater grace.

Apostle Jean Claude Soupin, Republic of Mauritius

The purpose and intent of God in releasing the five-fold ministry is for perfecting and edifying the saints, and to bring the Church to a position of maturity and unity.   In the absence of it, the Body of Christ lies dormant and does not function in, or manifest the character, power and strength of its High Priest. As we scan the earth, some churches seem to be deficient and powerless due to doctrinal inaccuracies and more importantly, the lack of (telios) anointing.  The church today, is a far cry from the written pattern given by God.   And so we give God all the glory for men like Dr. Michael Scantlebury for this timely commentary on the Apostolic and Prophetic. This book – (Apostolic Reformation– The Equipping Dimension of the Apostolic) will be used by God, as a tool, to stimulate inquiry and bring clarity and revelation of the intent and purposes of God and be a support to bringing the Church of God to His fullness.

Apostle Michael Scantlebury, you’ve done it again!  Apostolic Reformation is a wonderful addition to the reformational truths of the apostolic. While reading this book, I heard the heart beat of Christ, our Chief Apostle.  Apostolic Reformation is written with great authority, yet with such clarity that anyone who reads it will be blessed!  I highly recommend this book; it will strengthen and equip readers to access greater dimensions in the Lord.

Apostle Joshua Fowler, Commissioned International Church, Orlando, Florida, Author of  “ACCESS GRANTED”

Apostolic Reformation is an extraordinary book and by far the most comprehensive exposition on the apostolic restoration that I have come across to date.  As the third in the trilogy, it captures the height, breadth, and depth of this end time move of God in the "restoration of all things".  The revelation is excellent and the language anointed, leaving the reader with a sense of fulfillment through the discovery of these timeless, enduring and liberating truths.

This is not a quick read; instead it has to be savoured chapter by chapter.  I recommend not only "The Apostolic Reformation" but the first two books as well, to every serious seeker of a greater understanding of who we are in Christ, and who He is in us.  It is essential reading for any servant of the living God who feels called to the apostolic dimension.

Ada Thompson, M.D. A Gathering of Eagles, Nassau, Bahamas

In his book, Apostolic Reformation, Dr. Michael Scantlebury presents a powerful look at the apostolic mandate. He takes the reader from apostolic foundations to finishing the apostolic task. Scantlebury presents a strong case for the restoration of Apostles in today’s Church. An understanding of the tasks, responsibilities, difficulties and results of apostolic ministry is credentialed through scriptural examples.

I appreciate the emphasis made throughout the book on the character and lifestyle of an Apostle. These emphases are noted as being the first sign of an Apostle.

Although warfare and worship are not typically linked together, Dr. Scantlebury shows they are vital to success in accomplishing Kingdom objectives. Another emphasis made is that of unity and apostolic networks.

Reading this book will cause the reader to desire to make any changes necessary in order to be part of this mighty apostolic movement that is now occurring in the Church. Destiny awaits those willing to align with God’s Apostles. They have the opportunity to become partakers of great blessings and rewards from the Lord. I recommend this book for all that are hungry to experience this fresh move of God that is taking place throughout the world today.

When I met Michael Scantlebury almost a decade ago, I sensed the Lord saying, "This man is a gift to the North West Region and to My Church! He carries Kingdom Keys to bless My Body." This book is full of Apostolic Wisdom. The narrative sweeps from profound Bible revelation to warm testimony. You will be stretched and challenged by this book!
